In this role, you will work alongside special education teachers and related service providers to support students with a range of learning, developmental, and behavioral needs in a K-12 school setting. Day to day, you will assist with instruction in the classroom, help students navigate routines and transitions, and provide individualized support so that each student can access their education as fully as possible. You may work with a single student or rotate among several, depending on where support is most needed.
The rhythm of a school year means your work will shift as students grow and their goals evolve. You will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families, sharing observations and contributing to a team focused on student progress. This position is well suited to someone who brings patience, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people in a structured, caring environment.
